The Afghanistan National Urban and Rural Development Organization (ANURDO) is undertaking a transformative project in Qadis District, Badghis Province. This initiative includes the construction of three solar-powered water networks and the repair of 28 wells, ensuring reliable and sustainable access to clean water for the local population.

• Construction of a 3 Water supply network
• 251 Stand taps
• Rehabilitation of unactive 28 Wells with distribution of repairing kits
• Well repairing training for mechanics with repairing kit & spare parts distribution
• Distribution of Hygiene Kits
• Hygiene promotion & for male and female
Funded by UNOCHA/AHF, this project directly addresses the challenges faced by communities in accessing clean and safe water. The integration of solar technology ensures environmentally sustainable solutions while reducing dependence on non-renewable energy sources.
This initiative will have a profound impact on the social fabric of the region. Reliable access to clean water will enhance public health by reducing waterborne diseases and improving hygiene standards.
