The Afghanistan National Urban and Rural Development Organization (ANURDO) is proud to announce the commencement of a vital project aimed at enhancing access to clean and reliable water in Chak District, Wardak Province. This initiative includes the construction of a new water network and the repair of 25 existing wells in the region.

• Rehabilitation of unactive 28 Wells with distribution of repairing kits
• 97 Stand Taps
• Well repairing Mechanic Training & Repairing Kit Distribution
• Distribution of Hygiene Kits
• Hygiene promotion & for male and female
Funded by UNOCHA/AHF, this project addresses the pressing need for sustainable water sources, directly benefiting local families and the broader community. By improving access to clean water, the project will contribute to reducing waterborne diseases, enhancing public health, and improving the overall quality of life for residents.
Beyond immediate health benefits, the availability of clean water will positively impact various aspects of daily life. Women and children, often responsible for fetching water, will save valuable time and energy, allowing them to focus on education, work, and other productive activities. This initiative also strengthens community resilience by ensuring reliable access to a fundamental resource, fostering social stability and long-term development.
